How do I set up direct deposit?

The process for setting up direct deposit depends on your card type. To get paid early direct deposit, determine which card you have.

How to get my direct deposit early depending on my card type:

Wisely^® Pay Members

Log into the myWisely^® app or mywisely.com to retrieve your account and routing numbers.
Provide your Wisely account and routing information to your employer using their direct deposit set up process or speak to your HR or payroll representative.

Note: Your account number is not your Wisely card number.

Wisely^® Direct Members

Visit your employer portal and click on the Direct Deposit tile to follow instructions.
If you don't have access to an employer portal, contact your employer’s HR representative to enroll in direct deposit and provide your Wisely card's routing and account numbers.

To find the routing and account number

Log into the myWisely^® app or mywisely.com.
Click Account Settings, then click on Direct Deposit to see your routing and account numbers.

You can also opt in to get paid up to 2 days early with direct deposit at no extra cost. Upgrade may be required to add pay from additional sources other than the employer who issued your card.

How do I get early direct deposit?

Turn on early direct deposit by logging into the myWisely app or mywisely.com and go to your Account Settings > Direct Deposit.  Slide the button on to agree to the additional terms and to turn on early direct deposit.

First make sure that:

Your card is activated.
You have set up direct deposit.
You have downloaded the free myWisely app.

How does early direct deposit work?

Wisely^® cardholders can receive direct deposit with funds directly deposited up to 2 days earlier than the regularly scheduled payday and up to 4 days earlier for government benefits payments. Once you set up early direct deposit via the myWisely^® app or mywisely.com:

Your employer submits payroll to their bank.
Wisely receives your employer’s payment instructions.
Wisely deposits funds after processing.

In most cases of early deposit, you will get access to funds up to 2 days early, but it may be less depending on when we receive the payment instructions. Getting direct deposit early is not a guarantee for every paycheck. Whether you receive the direct deposit two days early or later depends on various factors, such as your employer's payroll processing schedule, banking holidays, and your payroll provider's policies.

If I already have direct deposit set up, do I need to opt in to get paid early?

Yes. If you already have direct deposit set up and you wish get your direct deposit 2 days early, you must turn on early direct deposit, even if you already have direct deposit set up for your pay.

To get direct deposit early:

Download and log into the myWisely^® app or go to mywisely.com.
Go to your Account Settings > Direct Deposit.
Slide the early direct deposit button on to agree to the disclosures and to turn on early direct deposit.

You must opt-in to early direct deposit on mywisely.com or myWisely^® mobile app. Early direct deposit of funds is not guaranteed and is subject to payor’s support and the timing of payor’s payment instruction. Faster funding claim is based on a comparison of our policy of making funds available upon our receipt of payment instruction with the typical banking practice of posting funds at settlement. Please see full disclosures on mywisely.com or myWisely app. Please allow up to 3 weeks for funds to be loaded to the card after initial setup of direct deposit to your card. Additional Identification verification is required.

If you have a Wisely Pay card or Wisely Cash card (see back of your card), access to certain features or loading funds from sources other than the company you received your card through requires an upgrade, which you can request in the myWisely app. Requesting an upgrade will automatically initiate an identity verification process utilizing your personal information already on file which must be validated in order to upgrade. Card may be restricted or closed if your identity cannot be verified. Upgrade may not be available to all cardholders. If you have a Wisely Direct card (see back of card), you're already upgraded.
Please allow up to 3 weeks for funds to be loaded to the card after initial setup of direct deposit to your card.

Faster funding claim is based on a comparison of our policy of making funds available upon receipt of payment instruction versus the typical banking practice of posting funds at settlement. Fraud prevention restrictions may delay availability of funds with or without notice. Early availability of funds requires payor's support of direct deposit and is subject to the timing of payor’s payment instruction. 4 days faster funding claim is limited to federal government benefit funds.
