How can I add money to my debit card at a retail location?

First, make sure your card is activated. If you have a Wisely Pay or Wisely Cash card (check the back of your card), you will also need to upgrade your card, which you can do within the myWisely^® app.

Then you can add money to your debit card in the following two ways:

1. Green Dot^® Deposit Cash

Deposit cash on the go! Add cash ($20-$500) to your Wisely^® card at the register of 90,000+ retailers nationwide (including CVS, Dollar General, Rite-Aid, 7-Eleven, Walgreens, Walmart, and more). Just hand your cash to the cashier. They will swipe your card and the money will automatically load onto your card and be available within minutes. Up to a $4.95 reload fee plus deposit and card balance limits apply. The cashier will give you a receipt as proof of the reload.

2. Western Union

Visit any Western Union location in the U.S. to add cash to your card (third-party load fees may apply). Log into your cardholder account at mywisely.com for more information.

Note: To add money from other sources, you must first pass an additional verification process. If you have a Wisely Pay card or a Wisely Cash card (see back of your card), this feature will require an upgrade. Requesting an upgrade will automatically initiate an identity verification process utilizing your personal information already on file.

Amounts transferred to your savings envelope will no longer appear in your available balance. You can transfer money from your savings envelope back to your available balance at any time using the myWisely app or at mywisely.com. ↩
